Friday Deep Thoughts

Yay, we've made it to the end of another week!
Not really a deep thought, but a great quote nonetheless from the fabulous Miss Audrey.

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."
Audrey Hepburn

Indian Autumn

The native shaman and his sacred rituals are the starting point of this "Autumn Indian" photo shoot. The result is a glamorous and wild look. Coarse leather, fur and feathers are teamed up with pearls, sequins, embroidery and sparkling embroidery. Contrasting elements merge in perfect complicity and the history is rewritten, the West is regained.
Isn't it amazing?

Welcome Fall

Ah, Fall.
A new season, a new beginning.
Which means time is up on all those things I wanted to do this summer, but never got around to. Hopefully I got lots of other things checked off my summer fun list ;).
But the Fall isn’t such a bad season. In fact, there are lots of things look forward to. Like cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, sweaters, soup, pumpkins on doorsteps...
Love to see the colors of the leaves and trees, and watch them drop down, the beauty of it all brings freshness and love the air. The beauty of different scenes from a distance when traveling is great, the colors, and to see the earth change is great, just love it!
Those are just a few things the Fall season brings our way each year.
Anyone else have any other suggestions?
Happy Monday lovelies!!!

Tomboy

Catwalks are flooded with 'tomboy chic'. But it's a trend that's more Katharine Hepburn in slacks than scuffed knees and dirty plimsolls.
The term 'tomboy chic' can be incredibly misleading. It implies faded denim, scuffed knees and plimsolls. And while that is most definitely one way of describing the joyous tomboy look, it isn't the whole story. Because tomboy chic can be posh, it can be in cashmere and it can carry four figure price tags.
I've always been a massive fan of tomboy style. But what I especially love about the style is that it isn't just about the clothes, it's about an attitude.
Despite the style's longevity, the term tomboy hasn't been much in vogue recently. The fashion industry has preferred the prefix 'boyfriend', or 'mannish'. Both perfectly suitable, but they do imply that the style is somehow borrowed and ultimately belongs to the boys. Whereas, to my mind, tomboy chic is inherent and doesn't belong to anyone.
Are you a tomboy fan?
Happy weekend beauties!!!

Thursday Inspiration

"Autumn begins with a subtle change in the light, with skies
a deeper blue, and nights that become suddenly clear and
chilled.  The season comes full with the first frost, the
disappearance of migrant birds, and the harvesting of
the season's last crops."

T-shirt Worn As A dress

First becoming popular in the 1940s, a t-shirt dress is a wardrobe staple whose versatility makes it an essential item in any woman's clothing collection. T-shirt dresses can accompany you gracefully from a day at the office to a round of after-work drinks with friends with minimal wardrobe changes. And this is my proposal, a simple long tee layered over an underwear vest. Just so easy!
Happy Tuesday lovelies!!!

The Little Black Dress

Famous for wearing the noir shade, it was none other than Coco Chanel who established the little black dress as a fundamental fashion frock back in the 1920s. Now a quintessential wardrobe staple, the LBD has since been reinvented a million times over, with shapes and silhouettes available to suit every woman.
From a casual lunch to a black tie affair, this simple garment transcends time and trends, and will get you where you need to go in style.
The reason it's called the perfect "little black dress" and not the perfect "little burgundy dress" is that a woman can to get the most wear out of versatile black – more than any other color – by dressing it up or down with other garments and accessories.
Have a lovely weekend beauties!!!
